BARBARA And NANCY

Barbara had a really old car and it kept breaking down. She really needed to get a new car because the repairs on it were more expensive than how much the car was worth. What was worse was this car was taking all her savings. She lived in a small 1 bed apartment with her husband and 2 kids. She couldn’t afford a better lifestyle. Her husband Jeff already worked 2 jobs and they were just barely keeping up with the bills.

Barbara decided she would help with the bills by getting a job. A friend of hers Nancy referred her to the grocery store where she was working. Barbara started stacking fruits and vegetables on the shelves everyday. She had to stand up all day and didn’t even have time to eat lunch or use the washroom. She would come home so exhausted and would have no energy to make dinner. Barbara would take a nap after work to recover from her job and dinner would be made very late. This became a reason for arguments between the husband and things weren’t looking good.

Nancy quit her job and now Barbara was working alone. She was getting paid minimum wage so it didn’t help that much with the house bills. After a month she bumped into Nancy at the grocery, saw her wearing a 3k branded clothing. Nancy told her she got a new sales job and started working with a sales lady which helped her make so much more money. Barbara asked her to refer her to the new job.

Barbara initially was shy to talk to customers and not confident to close any deals. She would try to learn from the men but would feel salesy. Then she started working with Nancy’s coach 1-1 and she started helping her sell like a woman. The strategies were different and powerful. She became an influential woman.
